Resolution

Use ssh to access the Delphix engine where you want to check the network card status, as seen in the following example:

ssh sysadmin@[delphix_engine_hostname]

delphix > network interface
delphix network interface> ls
Objects
NAME       MACADDRESS     MTU
vmxnet3s0  2:dc:2:0:4:5f  1500
delphix network interface> select vmxnet3s0
delphix network interface 'vmxnet3s0'> ls
Properties
    type: NetworkInterface
    name: vmxnet3s0
    addresses:
        0:
            type: InterfaceAddress
            address: 10.43.68.158/16
            addressType: DHCP
            enableSSH: true
            sessionInUse: false
            state: DUPLICATE
    device: vmxnet3s0
    macAddress: 2:dc:2:0:4:5f
    mtu: 1500
    mtuRange: 60-9000
    reference: NETWORK_INTERFACE-vmxnet3s0
    state: DOWN

Operations
update
refresh

In the above example, a duplicate IP address has been detected and brought the network card down.

Troubleshooting

Engage your networking/virtualization team to investigate why the network card is down.
Raise a support case if any assistance is required.
