Resolving alert "latest version of the Delphix toolkit is currently not deployed" (KBA10007)

Issue

When performing VDB operations, the following alert may be raised:

Error
The latest version of the Delphix toolkit is currently not deployed on host TARGETHOSTNAME

Error Code
exception.host.toolkit.not.deployed

Suggested Action
Refresh the environment which contains host TARGETHOSTNAME to deploy the latest version of the Delphix toolkit.

This issue may occur after performing an upgrade of the Continuous Data Engine, if an Environment was unreachable at the time of the upgrade.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, Refresh the environment which relates to the hostname from the error message. This can be done using the following steps:

1. Login to the Continuous Data Engine Management interface.
2. Navigate to the Manage > Environments.
3. Select the Environment which is described in the Alert.
4. Click the Refresh Environment () button.
5. Review the message that appears and click Refresh.
6. Monitor progress of the Environment Refresh operation using the Actions sidebar. This may take a few minutes.
7. If the Environment Refresh operation has succeeded, retry the failed VDB Operation.

This will update the Delphix Toolkit (Java runtime, scripts and utilities) for the Environment, so that it can interact with your Continuous Data Engine. For more information on this process, see the document Managing Environments and Hosts.
