Troubleshooting Storage - Disable Source Logsync (KBA1241)

A dSource records changes to a Source database using a combination of Snapsync and LogSync.  LogSync collects changes between two SnapSync and provides Point-in-time Provisioning capability. If a Source database is actively used and generating a high number of transaction logs (i.e. redo in Oracle, translogs in MSSQL, etc), then correspondingly the LogSync service could require a great deal of storage within Delphix. Turning off the LogSync service is accomplished by unchecking the LogSync option under the dSource card as shown below for Oracle database.

Turning off LogSync option will still allow VDB Provisioning/Refresh from Snapshots but will not allow for point-in-time provisioning for between Snapshots.
