Failed Refresh of ASE VDB Followed by a Successful Refresh Can Leave Truncate Log Feature Disabled (KBA6448)

Issue

When refreshing an ASE/Sybase type VDB, if the refresh operation should fail for a transient error and then another subsequent successful refresh is completed, it can leave the Truncate Log On Checkpoint feature disabled when it was enabled before refreshing.

Resolution

This feature can only be re-enabled on the target VDB Sybase database with the following command:

1> sp_dboption <database_name> , "trunc log on chkpt", true
2> go

Once the Delphix environment monitor runs against the VDB it will correct the setting in the GUI VDB/Configuration section.
