Symptoms
The engine management interface becomes unavailable and VDBs may become unresponsive after an attempt to expand a storage device, rendering the engine unresponsive. Device expansion does not complete. Since the IO pipeline is stalled, targets could see “NFS server not responding” type errors in the syslog/console of affected target environments. Rebooting the engine does not restore operation.
Relief/Workaround
Upgrade to Continuous Data 11.0.0.0 or later.
Resolution
This issue is fully resolved in Continuous Data 11.0.0.0 and later versions. A reboot upgrade is required for the fix to be effective in upgrade to 11.0.0.0; upgrades to 12.0.0.0 or later do not require a reboot upgrade, and fix can be delivered in a deferred upgrade (Delay the reboot).
