During an attempt to expand storage on one or more existing devices, the Continuous Data (formerly Virtualization) Engine becomes unresponsive, the management interface becomes unavailable, and VDBs may also become unresponsive or crash. Device expansion does not complete. Rebooting does not restore operation.

The engine management interface becomes unavailable and VDBs may become unresponsive after an attempt to expand a storage device, rendering the engine unresponsive. Device expansion does not complete. Since the IO pipeline is stalled, targets could see “NFS server not responding” type errors in the syslog/console of affected target environments. Rebooting the engine does not restore operation.
Upgrade to Continuous Data 220.127.116.11 or later.
This issue is fully resolved in Continuous Data 18.104.22.168 and later versions. A reboot upgrade is required for the fix to be effective in upgrade to 22.214.171.124; upgrades to 126.96.36.199 or later do not require a reboot upgrade, and fix can be delivered in a deferred upgrade (Delay the reboot).
