The problem is only known to occur when hyphenated usernames, e.g. john-quick, are used as OS usernames for a Delphix environment. Some third party applications, e.g. Illumio, may require the use of such usernames.
Symptoms
Adding a new server Environment fails with an error (similar to below):
Error Invalid output "12345 foo-bar 33 33 httpd" from the "ps" command. Error Code exception.Environment.ps.invalid.output Suggested Action Make sure that a POSIX compliant version of "ps" is available in the path of Environment user "delphix" on host "SAMPLESOURCE".
Resolution
This issue is fully resolved in Delphix Engine version 5.2.3.0, and later releases.
