Validated Sync Fails after Updating Security Certificates in MSSQL dSource (KBA6292)

KBA

KBA# 6292

Issue

Updating or adding a security certificate in an MSSQL dSource where any certificate in the chain is signed using the RSASSA-PSS signature algorithm will result in validated sync or linking a new dSource throwing the following error:

Error: The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "java.security.cert.CertificateException: Certificates do not conform to algorithm constraints". ClientConnectionId:2faebfbf-bf1f-48a2-90dc-217720c16786

This happens despite the Force Encryption flag being set to No in the Protocols for SQL2016 Properties dialog.

The Java JDK in current versions of Delphix do not support the RSASSA-PSS signature algorithm. This will be addressed in a future release.
