Troubleshooting Storage Utilization Issues

Delphix Storage Usage:

Delphix storage is primarily consumed by :

  • dSource (Source database compressed copy)

  • Timeflow (Snapshots and Logs) of dSources

  • Timeflow (Snapshots and Logs) of VDBs

  • Unique block changes by VDBs

Once the storage consumption reaches 78%, Delphix triggers a Warning fault. At 85% it issues a Critical fault, and important functions will automatically become suspended. You will not be able to provision VDBs, achieve compliance goals, or perform other critical business functions. For this reason, you should never ignore Storage Warnings! Take care of the problem immediately to avoid violating your SLAs.
