Times and Time zones appear in multiple areas on the GUI and the CLI; this topic shows where these time zones reside, if they can be modified, and how to modify them.
When instructing the changes/policies/times its important to provide time-source information. To understand where time gets generated in Delphix Engine - Delphix GUI reads time from three different places:
- Source database
- Delphix engine
Target source database
Snapshot policies for VDBs are run from the time and timezone of the target source database.
Browser time has the following dependencies in the GUI:
You can change the Delphix Engine time in the Sysadmin interface:
- Server time (Replication 4.1 and older)
Everything in the CLI is in reference to UTC as the backend of the DxOS is in UTC.
