Affects ME versions: This issue affects all Masking Versions: .., 4.x, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3.
Root Cause: Access to the database has been denied due to the password not available.
Solution: Go to the Masking Connector, update the password, and Test Connection to verify it is working. 

Issue

The password provided was NULL and access to the database (usually when a masking job has been started) has been denied. 

Resolution

Go to the Masking Connector, update the password, and Test Connection to verify it is working.


Troubleshooting

Three suggestions for troubleshooting:

  1. Verify if there are any other error message raised at the same time in the logs.
  2. Go to the Masking UI and the Connector and press 'Test Connection'.
  3. Open a terminal and try connecting using 'sqlplus'.
