ORA Error: ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied
Affects ME versions: This issue affects all versions of Continuous Compliance Engine (formerly Masking).
Root Cause: Access to the database has been denied due to the password not available.
Solution: Go to the Masking Connector, update the password, and Test Connection to verify it is working. 


The password provided was NULL and access to the database (usually when a masking job has been started) has been denied. 


In the Continuous Compliance Engine user interface: Masking Connector, update the password, and Test Connection to verify it is working.


Three suggestions for troubleshooting:

  1. Navigate to the Connector in the Continuous Compliance Engine user interface, and then click Test Connection.
  2. Open a terminal and try connecting using sqlplus
  3. Verify if there are any other error messages raised at the same time in the logs.
